The house is slowly but surely starting to come together. As you know, Joshua and I moved into our fixer upper about 6 months ago (crazy that it has been that long!) and every month we try and tackle a new project with the house. This month, we wanted to finish up the dining room. Our dining room is one of my favorite rooms. We have a huge 10ft farmhouse that our friend built us that takes most of the space in our dining room, but to the left of it we had this really big wall. There wasn’t enough room for me to put a piece of furniture or a buffet there which is what I wanted to do. And then I thought about adding a piece of artwork on it and everything looked so small! So when I heard about Frame it Easy and their ability to create custom frames from your images, I just knew that I wanted to do some sort of gallery wall! One of my favorite bloggers, Lauren, did the cutest gallery wall with her wedding photos so I used that as my inspiration.
I’ve done gallery walls before where you have a random assortment of different size frames, pieces of art, etc but I did not want to do that this time. I wanted everything to be the same size, color, everything and I knew I could achieve this with Frame It Easy. Frame It Easy allows you to upload your pictures online and custom create your own frame. I was able to choose my art size, frame style, matte, and cover (glass choice.) I couldn’t believe how simple and easy it was! I was able to sit down on my couch and order my frames one night while I was watching Grey’s Anatomy and it was such an easy experience. I couldn’t believe how fast I received my frames either! I bought them and not even a week later – I had them on my front porch!
Now for the hard part – hanging the frames haha! I knew that I was going to stick Joshua and my dad on this project because I’ve done gallery walls before and it just ends badly! I set out my frames on our farmhouse table in the exact order I wanted them and then had the guys do the hard part. When you order from Frame It Easy they put everything you will need to hang your frame with your frame. They include pre-hung hanging wire and a hardware kit. SEE – so easy! In no time, we had my beautiful frames hung and the gallery wall was complete! Take a look at how it turned out!
And yes! I did decide to do photos from the exact same photo session. All of the walls in my house are white (Alabaster by Sherwin Williams) so I knew that I wanted to add some color but not too much color. Doing prints from the same session was a no brainer for me! My wonderful friend, Amy, took these photos for us last summer while we were in Hilton Head Island. One of my favorite sessions to date!
Overall, I was super impressed with Frame It Easy! I cannot imagine this gallery wall being any easier and it’s all thanks to Frame It Easy!
