The Spa at Ballantyne, Ballantyne Hotel, Charlotte NC

A couple of weeks ago, Joshua and I decided to take a trip to Charlotte for a weekend getaway. Charlotte isn’t too far from us and it’s the perfect place for a weekend trip! The guys had a golf tournament so us girls decided we ought to make use of the trip to Charlotte and plan a spa/shopping weekend! I mean who says the girls can’t do something fun when the guys golf?

For the weekend, we stayed at the Ballantyne Hotel, and it was absolutely beautiful! We have been to Charlotte several times but this was our first time visiting the Ballantyne Hotel and I am so happy we did! I mean, look at this lobby! The Ballantyne Hotel has a golf course, spa, several bars and restaurants and really anything you could ever want in a hotel! It was the perfect place for us to stay for our relaxing weekend.

The guys played golf on Friday at the Golf Club at Ballantyne. The views were breathtaking and I think the guys really enjoyed themselves. Since the guys would be golfing for the next 5 hours, the girls decided to head to the mall. The Mall in Charlotte is one of my favorite malls to shop at. I am usually not an in-person shopper but I needed to get a couple of last minute things before trip to Europe.

On Saturday, the guys had their golf tournament and the ladies had a spa day! The best part about the spa at the Ballantyne Hotel is all you have to do is wake up, take the elevator downstairs, and you are at the spa. SO convenient! My treatment was at 8:00AM and they encourage you to get there 30 minutes early to take a tour of the facility, get in your robe, and relax before your treatment starts. Life has been so stressful lately so a spa day was literally the exact thing I needed. And this spa is BEAUTIFUL! I checked in, got changed into my robe, and headed into the relaxation lounge. They offer you complimentary mimosas and champagne before your treatment gets started! I headed into the lounge and enjoyed a mimosa before my treatment started.

My first treatment was the 80 Minute Stress Relief Massage and I am not just saying this – it was the BEST massage I have ever received. I have visited dozens of spas and never received a massage as therapeutic as this one. It was amazing. The treatment includes a full body, relaxing massage and a wrap. It was heavenly! The 80 minutes went by so fast. After my treatment was over, I headed back into the lounge and waited on my friend. Her treatment started at 10:00AM and there was no way I was going to leave this environment before I needed to! The Ballantyne Spa has a ton of extra amenities to enjoy during your spa experience like several relaxation pools, two saunas, and the lounge. Once my friend finished her treatment, we were going to have about an hour before our next treatment so I decided to order us lunch. The Spa allows you to order lunch to enjoy on the Veranda, by the pool, or in the lounge in between treatments. Another reason why I love this spa, you don’t have to go anywhere LOL!

We ate lunch on the Veranda overlooking the golf course and it was beautiful. We then got called back for our next treatment which was pedicures and we were allowed to sit side by side during them which made the experience better. At the Ballantyne Spa, the pedicure chairs overlook the outside golf course again and it is completely relaxing! The pedicure was amazing and exactly what I needed. The foot massage was my FAV part! My last treatment was a Shampoo and Style – I usually like to get a blowout while I am at the spa because my hair is usually really dirty and greasy after all of the oils and treatments. The hair salon at the spa uses Davines products so this was a win win for me. My blowout was amazing and it made it even better that I didn’t have to spend time washing and drying my hair later that night.

The Ballantyne Spa was incredible and the absolute best spa experience ever! The spa attendants do an amazing job and really make you feel completely relaxed during your entire treatment. I was at the Spa on Saturday from 7:30AM – 3:00PM and it was the BEST! I could have stayed there longer because of how relaxed I was afterwards. If you are in the Charlotte area, you NEED to check out the spa at the Ballantyne Hotel! You will not be disappointed.

On Saturday night, we chilled at the hotel bar – The Ryal Bar. The whole atmosphere was amazing and exactly the vibe we were going for after a long day.

And how gorgeous are these drinks? The bartenders are AMAZING!

All in all, if you are in the Charlotte area or are looking for a destination for a weekend getaway – you NEED to check out the Ballantyne Hotel! They have everything you could ever want for a weekend stay and I will definitely be back to visit!
