I have had a ton of you asking about my current skincare regimen. Skincare was not something I invested in until about 5 years ago. I am almost 30 and I am so glad that I started investing in skincare when I did. And I am not talking about Clinique moisturizer or St. Ives scrub haha! Although, I will admit I used those in my teenage years!
As most of you know, I had to go through fertility treatments over the past 2 years so I had to switch up my skincare regimen a little bit but it’s been pretty constant. Even with being pregnant I have had to change things a little bit but I guess that’s the fun part about being a woman right…yay hormones?!?
As a general rule, layer your skincare products from thinest to thickest. For example, you would apply a serum before a moisturizer or eye cream because the serum has a thinner consistency and can get into those fine lines.
I would also like to mention that I try to regularly get facials and/or skincare treatments from Holley at Spago. She’s local to my area and I have been seeing her for 5+years! Not everyones skin is the same so I always like to get advice from a licensed skincare professional!
Step 1: Cleanser – I use this cleanser from Biodroga every single morning. I have been using it for so many years and I love it. It feels like velvet on my skin!
Step 2: Serums – ALWAYS! Vitamin C has made the biggest difference in my skin. It’s an investment but so worth it. I swear by Skinceuticals Phloretin CF. I love it! If I am feeling a little bit dry, I will also wear this serum which helps with moisture.
Step 4: Moisturizer – I like to switch up my moisturizers. My go-to’s used to be this moisturizer from Dr. Shrammek, this one from Biodrogra. However, my skin has been SO dehydrated due to the recent change in my hormones. Crystal, from Cucumber & Mint, just got me obsessed with these two products and they are the HOLY GRAIL! Right now, I mix this Hydrating Facial Oil by Image with this ORMEDIC Bio Peptide Cream by Image and I use this as my moisturizer.
Step 6: Makeup – I don’t wear liquid foundation or a CC cream. So my next step is to apply my MAC Studio Fix Powder. I’ve been wearing this for 10+ years and my momma always told me, if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it.
Step 1: Cleanser – I love this cleanser from Biodroga. I have been using it for so many years and I love it. It feels like velvet on my skin! If I am dealing with breakouts, I will use this cleanser from Skinceuticals.
Step 2: Serums – If I am feeling a little bit dry (which has been the case for the past several years due to treatments and hormones) I will also wear this serum which helps with moisture.
Step 4: Moisturizer – Right now, I mix this Hydrating Facial Oil by Image (I use several drops) with this ORMEDIC Bio Peptide Cream by Image and I use this as my moisturizer. My skin feels so hydrated after I use them! Basically, like I just got a facial!
Optional: About once a week, I use a sheet mask from Biodroga. It helps me with breakouts and makes my skin look and feel it’s best!
